Sorry!

Hi guys I'm finally back...well sort of. The last two weeks have been pretty busy for me, DH graduated from BCT (so extremely proud!!!) and the ceremony was beautiful! I've never planned a trip out of state, especially with no help so it took a lot for me to organize, especially considering all the what if's and maybe's I was looking at (don't ask!)After a 19 hour bus ride there with two preschoolers( nightmare!), very little rest, an awesome but much too short visit with my hunny, and yet another 19 hour bus ride back home, this time with both myself and one of my preschoolers being very sick(turned out to be pneumonia, my poor baby!). Now after a week of recovery things are finally starting to settle down and boy have I got an awesome project for you guys...coming soon! I know it's not fair but honestly I've never seen this done, even on Pinterest so I want to really wow you guys and inspire you to try it too! Wish me luck you guys, so far so good and I'll see you again soon hopefully with my new project/ technique!

Feeling a Little Lovey Dovey

Hello all! More gloomy weather here in Texas and I'm still sick so this will be another quick post! I wanted to do a Valentines day card to get back to my theme but also wanted to enter this project in TGF's Farm Fresh Friday challenge, Recycle It and this is what I came up with!

Amelia (OA Lovey Dovey)

The striped red pattern paper is actually a scrap from a box of candy canes, adorable isn't it? I sent this out to my SIT today, hopefully he gets it in time! Hope you guys enjoy!

Birthday Wishes

Hello all! Six years ago I met my best friend and was fortunate enough to become his wife and mother of our two beautiful daughters. I suppose you're wondering why I'm telling you guys this? I don't normally blog on Saturdays but today is a special occasion, my DH's birthday!!! Unfortunately he is still away at Army BCT so I can't celebrate with him but I miss him like crazy. Fortunately, the long process is almost over and after what feels like AGES, I'll finally get to see him again soon for family day and graduation later this month!!! In honor of his SIT status I decided to do an Army themed card instead of just a happy birthday. The colors were a nightmare to try and incorporate with the camo, but in the end it turned out just perfect and I hope he loves it

C.C. Dante

I used C.C. Dante and colored him up using copics. I then used the hat from the OA Lovey Dovey 4x6 set to complete the 'uniform' and altered him a bit by drawing those notorious military issued glasses, so lovingly called BCG's (or birth control glasses) most often. I took a few stars that were much to small for my toddlers leftover from their art kit and painted them gold for a little something extra. I then created a hand made dog tag out of a scrap of cardstock colored silver, and found a small section of an old necklace, whose pendant was long ago lost to complete this not so standard issued birthday card for my SIT ^.^ I plan to enter this card in the FFF Challenge Recycle It! over at Splendid Stamping. Hope you guys like this soldier inspired card and thanks for stopping by to join me in wishing my DH a happy birthday!

Passion for Pizza...Boxes

Sorry guys no long post today I'm not feeling too well but I did want to sneak a project in for this week's challenge, Layers, over at splendid stamping. Don't worry, what this post lacks in paragraphs it makes up for in pictures! After all, isn't a picture worth a thousand words? Well that technically makes my post more than 6,000 words then (^.^)! Seeing a gorgeously adorable mini pizza box on Rosie's Blog reminded me that I'd wanted to try one a while back and never got around to it (mostly because the task seemed daunting). I finally gave it a shot and it turned out to be easier than some card folds (like the dreaded trifold shutter card I've only attempted twice)! It was so super fun and easy I made a few different ones in about an hour and here they are:

Beanie Ian

As you can see, when I love a technique it becomes an obsession lol! These awesome little babies will be filled with various Vday goodies and will make great treats for some of my DD's teachers, coaches, and principals as well as a few of my good friends! well you guys I'm going to try and get a bit of rest and hopefully I'll feel crafty and healthy tomorrow, thanks for stopping by and don't forget to try your hand at making these adorable mini pizza boxes guys, seriously ridiculously easy!

More Amour

Good Monday everybody! Who doesn't love Monday....wait....me, I don't love Mondays they make me inexplicably grouchy but I think it has that effect on most people. Maybe they should just remove Mondays from the calendar would everybody just be grouchy on Tuesday instead? Lol pay my ramblings no mind, it's Monday ^.^ now on to better things! I was lucky enough to win last week's red white and blue challenge over at Splendid Stamping and can't wait to receive my prize from that, I never really win anything so Woo hoo me for that! I LOVE TGF, j'adore those awesome products so what better way to express it than with another altered journal!

Anya Styles

Adorable, no? Lol in keeping with my theme of Valentine-ish projects, I went with another Eiffel Tower background because does Anya Styles not compliment the city of love's most famous piece of architecture perfectly?  I decided to go with a pale purple and slate gray...grey...gr...(oh you know what I mean lol!) rather than traditional V day colors today sort of like a mini break so I don't burn out on my favorite day before it even gets here hope you guys like it!
